Strange Goings On: Commodore International Corporation

OK so maybe I’m slow on the take up but Commodore appear to be back, perhaps they never went away: Commodore International Corporation “We’ve made it our business to provide our customers with unrivalled access to personalized media entertainment – available anytime, anywhere and on any device.” They also have a blog channel64.net, and there’s a new product, the Gravel.

Sony - Mylo™

Sony - Mylo™

“Sony will next month ship a handheld communications device designed for the Wi-Fi world. Dubbed Mylo, the palmtop features 802.11b wireless networking, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4in, 320 x 240 colour display and comes pre-loaded with GoogleTalk, Yahoo! Messenger and Skype.” (The Register)

BlackBerry hacking peril exposed | The Register

“A hacking program, due to be released next week, will demonstrate how to use a connection from BlackBerry devices to potentially bypass enterprise security defences.”

WiFi Router includes Built-In 160Gig Drive, iTunes, Bittorrent & FTP!

What I have been waiting for: Automated Home - WiFi Router includes Built-In 160Gig Drive, iTunes, Bittorrent & FTP! “It has a built in network iTunes client, so it’ll show up as an iTunes client to your PCs. And it has a BitTorrent client that can rip down 7 streams automatically (and 10 FTP or web streams at the same time.) That’s with your PC off, all downloads handled by the router. And there’s a lot more. Too much more to share before the jump.

Apple thrashes Dell on Mac Pro pricing

Apple thrashes Dell on Mac Pro pricing

So I guess as the Mac Pro isn’t exactly directed at the iPod buying ‘must own it cos it’s Apple’ mass market end of their customers, they have actually decided to price it competetively, even against Dell. Now if they would please do that with mac Book Pro’s, that would be just swell.

Apple - Mac Pro

Apple - Mac Pro
“Meet Mac Pro. Running at speeds up to 3GHz, Mac Pro not only completes the Mac transition to Intel processors but delivers advanced performance, workstation graphics, and up to 4.9 million possible configurations.” Bugger me that looks sweet.
